John Burrell, High Adventure's President and CEO, has been an avid outdoorsman since childhood. One of the most respected professionals in the business, John has years of experience managing one of the nation's top sporting destinations. He also formed a successful international outfitting firm for outdoor power house Mossy Oak/Haas Outdoors and was the youngest partner in their recreational real estate firm Mossy Oak Properties. A Certified Wildlife Biologist and award-winning outfitter, his destinations have been featured in most of the world's top sporting publications as well as The New York Times, Southern Bride magazine and on North American Whitetail TV, She Safari's Beyond the Lodge, and Mossy Oak's Hunting The Country. He was the exclusive agent for one of ESPN's top outdoor programs, Get Wild with Cindy Garrison and was featured weekly on ESPN's Under Wild Skies. His award winning web design has earned him the reputation as one of the countries top multimedia production specialist, and he currently holds a tenured professorship at a major university specializing in web design. George Gates, High Adventure Company's Director of Outside Sales is a native of Mississippi and grew up hunting deer, turkey, ducks, wild boar, and pretty much anything else he could find in the hardwood bottomlands surrounding the Tallahatchie and Mississippi Rivers and the bean fields of the Mississippi Delta. After practicing law for seven years, George finally "saw the light," abandoning the practice of law, going to work full time in the hunting and fishing industry. Since then, he has hunted, fished and filmed all over the world taking big game, fish and birds in North, Central, and South America, Australia, and southern Africa. Currently he resides in Memphis, Tennessee, which allows him access to both a major airport, and the hunting lands in Northern Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas that he loves so much.
Adam Lauderdale , field agent for Whitetail Destinations and John Burrell's High Adventure Company, is a true whitetail and turkey fanatic. With a degree in marketing and years of hunting experience, Adam has the reputation of locating and developing properties that grow big whitetails. Hunting whitetails from the deep-south to the agriculture rich mid-west has allowed him to fine tune his skills and attention toward helping others to be successful in the woods. In the past, Adam has worked as a guide and as a pro staff member for Outdoor Marketing Group, a regional wholesaler of hunting and fishing equipment. Justin Chumley, Hunting Consultant/Coordinator of worldwide hunting excursions, came to the High Adventure Company at the beginning of 2007. He works closely with John in taking care of the logistics of clients' trips, as well as working in numerous other areas of the company from database management, to developing marketing materials. With a degree in computer science and an number of years working with one of the countries top recreational land companies, Justin is able to bring a unique mix of talents to bear and is a valued member of the High Adventure team.
Nicole Taylor Whitelaw, Coordinator of Marketing Materials for the High Adventure Company. Not only did she single handedly write the copy of our entire touring catalog but she will also serve as Editor of the High Adventure Journal magazine currently in development. Another invaluable service Nicole provides is as a consultant to our female clients and their personal needs. Dr. Kirby P. Walker, Chairman of the High Adventure Company's board of directors. That is just one of Dr. Kirby's many roles, Kirby is a veteran of over twenty trips to Africa spanning more than 40 years going back to the good ole days of hunting in Kenya. He has also hunted through the famed wingshooting regions of South America. His guidance is invaluable to us all.
